Parental Consent
Mountain biking is an outdoor sport with an inherent element of risk. Whilst we endeavour to minimise this, accidents are still possible. By registering a participant to take part in club activities I agree I consent to the following terms and conditions:
Age limit for enrolment
The minimum age limit is 10 years.
Insurance
All sessions are delivered by British Cycling qualified Coaches and Leaders who are covered by British Cycling 3rd Party Liability Insurance. Please note: Individual riders are not provided with any form of personal accident insurance. Parents are advised to arrange their own personal injury / accident insurance if required.
Changes and cancellation
We will do our best to adequately notify about any changes or cancellations in advance. In the case of cancellation of a session we will provide a proportionate refund or credit. We do not accept any liability in respect to any other fees or costs you might encounter due to the cancellation or change of activities, and the Club is not liable for any damages which may be incurred by participants, guardians or others.
Non-attendance
Activities are booked in blocks, we are unable to offer a refund for individual sessions if participants are unable to attend. Please ensure you are committed to attending the sessions before you book.

- In the case of an emergency I agree to my child being given any medical, surgical or dental treatment, including general anaesthetic and blood transfusion, as considered necessary by the medical authorities present.
- I understand about the risks involved with mountain bike riding and the insurance arrangements.
- I consent to my child taking part in the ride, and declare my child to be in good health and physically able to participate in the ride/s.
- I have noted where and when the participants are to be returned and I understand that I am responsible for my child getting home safely from that place.
- I am aware that the club leaders and coaches hold 3rd party liability insurance cover, but no insurance cover is extended to any participants in club activities.
- I will ensure that any change in the circumstances (eg recent illness, medication or injury), which will affect my child’s participation in the visit will be notified to the mountain bike leader prior to the ride.
