MTB Guisborough offers a child-friendly environment in which young people can safely enjoy mountain biking. All volunteers are DBS checked and hold safeguarding certificates and we are strongly committed to implementing the British Cycling Safeguarding and Protecting Children policy.
The Child Welfare Officer
The Child Welfare Officer for young members is Kate Woodall.
Her role includes:

The Child Welfare Officer for young members is Kate Woodall.
Her role includes:
- Acting as the first point of contact for Child Welfare and Protection concerns
- Helping safeguard young people by implementing the British Cycling policy at a club level
- Raising awareness of child protection among club members
- Upholding confidentiality in child protection matters
- Liaising with the BC Child Welfare Officer when necessary
